passing out Vegan Info at animal eateries....

I found the perfect one page print out that explains how to be healthier and eat vegan foods...its wonderful.... it costs 3cents per page to print out here in Philippines. I handed them out to several people today as they were waiting for their food to come. I like to give it to the people after they have just eaten a meal. Usually they are sitting at their table with all the animal bones left on their plates. They appear very sedated and glassy eyed and numb and full and depressed and seem to be telling themselves they should eat less next time and mad at their selves for overeating again (I know this from my own experience, eheheh)...
So there I am! The tall skinnyass American with a smile comes waltzing inside and asks if they speak any english...when they say yes, I give them my nicely folded article and tell them this is for them and their family.

This is what it says, let me know if it is a good thing? I have to make it 'health' related more than saving animals from slaughter, because most dont care about that yet.

Eating for Life

Leading health experts agree that going vegetarian is the single-best thing we can do for ourselves and our families. Healthy vegetarian diets support a lifetime of good health and provide protection against numerous diseases, including our country’s three biggest killers: heart disease, cancer, and strokes. The American Dietetic Association states that vegetarians have “lower rates of death from ischemic heart disease; … lower blood cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and prostate and colon cancer” and that vegetarians are less likely than meat-eaters to be obese.1 Well-planned vegetarian diets provide us with all the nutrients that we need, minus all the saturated fat, cholesterol, and contaminants found in animal flesh, eggs, and dairy products.

Research has shown that vegetarians are 50 percent less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40 percent of the cancer rate of meat-eaters.3,4 Plus, meat-eaters are nine times more likely to be obese than vegans are.5

The consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy products has also been strongly linked to osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, asthma, and male impotence. Scientists have also found that vegetarians have stronger immune systems than their meat-eating friends; this means that they are less susceptible to everyday illnesses like the flu.7 Vegetarians and vegans live, on average, six to 10 years longer than meat-eaters.8

A plant-based diet is the best diet for kids, too: Studies have shown that vegetarian kids grow taller and have higher IQs than their classmates, and they are at a reduced risk for heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and other diseases in the long run.10,11 Studies have shown that even older people who switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet can prevent and even reverse many chronic ailments.

Very good I think. Short but includes all health facts that related to vegetarianism veganism.
It should not be longer because people would not read it. Who are not interrested in health dont like to read abou it so its good.
Its good that you focused on health benefits rather than its ethical/moral connection because people would not even read it if it has some spiritual stuff, it is best to leave that part for later if they became interrested in it.

You should focus more on the really "painful,, diseases (not literally) like: prostate cancer, breast cancer, obesity, impotence.
I mean, most people dont care about diseases they dont have.
Its good that you told them that it can be reversed, so they still have some hope and reason for going vegan.
Another problem is that most people dont even know what to eat as a vegan, or a vegatarian, so maybe you should write some exampleas that they can still have delicious meals.

After all I think its great! So keep Up!
I hope I could help in someway.
