caught in Tropical storm
That was invigorating....I was surfing here in Kata Beach, Thailand, and all of a sudden the dark clouds moved in, it started raining, then Pouring rain, then wind blowing very strong.....several surfers got out of the water, but I was feeling cold and it was warmer in the water, so I decided to swim to increase my body heat.....I could barely see due to the clouds, rain, wind, mist....the rain actually hurt my skin it was coming down so hard....I waited it out for 20 minutes, then it all started to go away and only me and one other surfer were in the water....all the waves to ourselves!
Shared durian with the family that operates my homestay....family of 4....the two boys are about 8 and 12 years of age and the 8year old loves durian. I had eaten two durians in my room already and had one more to share. I sat with them and watched the father cut it for his boys and they all enjoyed it...That was very nice for me to find some people that accept my fruit gifts....
In Thailand, it seems people have such an abundance of fruit and/or have more money then other countries, that they don't usually get that excited about getting a gift of fruit....IN Bali, since it seemed to be a poorer country, the people are soooo excited when you give them fruit, especially Durian....I could also be more creative in who I share fruit with..for example If I share with the hard working laborers I see that are building all the buildings around here for the tourists to buy condos, then they would probably love some juicy free fruit in the hot Thai Sun.....I will share some with them asap too.
